AFI KLM E&M praised for the launch of its MRO Lab designed to foster innovation across its global network.
Paris, Amstelveen, 5 April 2016 - Professional magazine Aviation Week has selected AFI KLM E&M to receive the 2016 MRO of the Year Award for Outstanding Airline Maintenance Group. Editors of the magazine had selected AFI KLM E&M for launching the MRO Lab to foster innovations and collaborations across its worldwide network which ultimately benefit airline operating performance.
It's the second year in a row AFI KLM E&M wins the award. In 2015, AFI KLM E&M had been voted Aviation Week's MRO of the Year for the comprehensive and effective maintenance program it designed for the latest generation of aircraft, including the A380, Boeing 787 and A350.
The Aviation Week MRO of the Year Awards honor the best MRO and aftermarket entities around the world for value-adding achievements and innovations. Each year, the magazine solicits award nominations from its readers and from the MRO industry in general.
The award was received by AFI KLM E&M during a ceremony held at Aviation Week's MRO Americas 2016 Conference & Exhibition, in Dallas, Texas, USA, on April the 5th. Executive Vice President AIR FRANCE KLM Engineering & Maintenance Franck Terner said: "Receiving this award for the second year in row is a true honor.
