08/06/2015 - TNT Airways Signs With AFI KLM E&M For GE90 Engine Support For Its Boeing 777F Fleet

Contract further extends long-standing partnership.

Paris, Amstelveen, 8 June 2015 - AFI KLM E&M and TNT Airways announced today the signature of a flight-hour agreement covering the support of the GE90-110B engines powering the airline's 777 Freighters fleet. AFI KLM E&M is now providing TNT Airways with a dedicated, integrated support program taking in the entire Engine maintenance service chain, from removal to reinstallation, including shop visits, "on-site" work, routine inspections, line maintenance support, engineering, on-wing engine performance monitoring, and, if needed, the supply of spare engines.

Trust and high service performance
The two groups have been working together for a number of years, with AFI KLM E&M in particular providing line maintenance services to TNT Airways at Liège (Belgium) airport. The quality of the working relationship between the two partners in the aircraft maintenance sphere was undoubtedly a deciding factor in the signing of this latest agreement.
Fabrice Defrance, Senior Vice President Commercial AFI KLM E&M, said: "Our Group is delighted at the idea of extending and deepening its cooperation with TNT Airways, one of our longest-standing clients. We will strive to be worthy of the trust shown by our client by supporting their operations efficiently and responsively."

Another reason for the trust shown by TNT Airways lies in the expertise developed by AFI KLM E&M on the GE90 product, combined with its ability to come up with a comprehensive and customized offer. Flight hour invoicing means that TNT Airways has optimum future cost predictability and the airline will benefit from an all-round, integrated range of performance-oriented services designed for maximum engine availability. Marc Bollinne, Managing Director, of TNT Airways, said: "For many years now, AFI KLM E&M has been a trusted partner and a yardstick for our aircraft maintenance. The quality of its services has always given us total satisfaction. The partnership relations we have built up together were a decisive factor in our selection."
