New contract to cover the Dutch and Turkish fleets of Corendon Airlines, which is already a customer of AFI KLM E&M for Boeing 737 component support.
Paris, Amstelveen, 20 September 2016 - Corendon Airlines has signed a new deal with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) to provide Corendon Airlines Turkey and Corendon Dutch Airlines with engine maintenance services for twelve CFM56-7B engines in their fleets. The engine maintenance services started in July and are planned to take place until year 2018 at AFI KLM E&M Amsterdam facilities. AFI KLM E&M provides full engine support, including spare engines.
This move continues a collaborative effort between the two companies with AFI KLM E&M successfully accomplishing similar maintenance on CFM56-7B engines in 2013 and 2014. Moreover, their partnership goes beyond engine services as a previous contract was signed for 737 component support, and AFI KLM E&M is bringing Corendon privileged support and expert insight regarding any technical issue within its partner's fleet.
Corendon Airlines Co-founder and CEO Yildiray Karaer commented: "AFI KLM E&M has provided excellent support to Corendon Airlines over the last years, and we are pleased to be expanding our relationship with them. This will now include engines of both Corendon Turkey and Corendon Dutch fleets. Corendon Airlines places the highest premium on flight safety and maintenance quality and the engine maintenance services supplied by AFI KLM E&M will enable us to maintain highest levels."
Ton Dortmans, Executive Vice President KLM E&M added: "We are pleased that our partnership with Corendon Airlines has expanded to include Dutch fleet on top of Corendon Turkish fleet. AFI KLM E&M is keen on continuously improving the services it provides Corendon Airlines to further develop the relationship to cover additional maintenance services."
"We are proud of the trust Corendon has placed in us, stated Fabrice Defrance, SVP Commercial at AFI KLM E&M. This contract confirms the excellent working relationship we have with the company and we are looking forward to further cooperation".
