07/02/2011 - Air Mauritius Chooses AFI KLM E&M to maintain A319 and A340 Fan Thrust Reversers

Paris, Amstelveen, 07 February 2011 - Air Mauritius renews its trust in AFI KLM E&M through an exclusive 6-year contract covering its A319 and A340 Nacelle Component Maintenance Support.

Two-stage contract.

Prior to starting the maintenance of the Fan Thrust Reversers (FTR), AFI KLM E&M aero structure experts will evaluate the conditions of the FTRs and will come up with an optimal refurbishment programme. Air Mauritius will benefit from AFI KLM E&M acquired experience working on the Air France fleet, which has a programme specifically designed to ensure that FTRs are removed for refurbishment at the optimal time to avoid additional and unexpected maintenance costs due to extensive wear and tear. By choosing AFI KLM E&M, Air Mauritius consolidates its trust in the MRO after having recently extended their current A319, A330 and A340 Component Support contracts for another three years.

Acknowledged Experts.

"The agreement signed with AFI KLM E&M," said Jacques Gentil, Air Mauritius Executive Vice President Technical Services, "is a direct continuation of the close commercial relationship we have been nurturing with Air France Industries." According to Fabrice Defrance, AFI KLM E&M Senior Vice President Business Development and Commercial Coordination: " We are delighted that Air Mauritius has shown us this further mark of trust. This agreement demonstrates the expertise of our workforce and the quality of their maintenance works."
