Former EPCOR Managing Director to take up new duties in January 2012.
Paris, Amstelveen, 12 January 2012 - After five years at the helm of AFI KLM E&M subsidiary EPCOR, Paul Chün is moving to a new position as Managing Director of KLM UK Engineering Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AFI KLM E&M which specializes in maintenance solutions for regional aircraft fleets.
Paul has a Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Engineering from the HTS Technical College in Haarlem, Holland, a Master's degree in Management from the TSM Business School, and a 30-year track record in the aviation sector.
Lengthy aircraft industry experience
He started out in 1978, joining KLM Engineering & Maintenance as a trainee in aircraft maintenance. In his role as a Support engineer for Aircraft maintenance he was involved in the introduction of new aircraft amongst them Fokker 100 and Boeing 737 for KLM. As Line Maintenance Production Unit manager, he left Engineering & Maintenance to fulfil several management assignments on behalf of KLM. From 2001 to 2003 he was KLM's head of Industrial Relations, after which he returned to KLM E&M in 2003, where he was responsible for successfully rolling out Lean Six Sigma methodology.
Paul Chün retired the six sigma program as a master Blackbelt.Since 2007 he has been Managing Director of EPCOR, the AFI KLM E&M subsidiary specialized in the maintenance and repair of pneumatic systems and auxiliary power units (APUs).
