MRO wins component support, engines and wheels contract
Paris, Amstelveen, 14 June 2013 - Air Corsica has signed a support contract with AFI KLM E&M covering the single A320 aircraft the Corsica-based carrier currently leases from Air France. The agreement includes component support with pool access, engineering services and repairs on a flight hour basis. AFI KLM E&M will also provide wheel and tire support, together with overhaul and repairs to its CFM56-5B engines.
Hervé Pierret, Board Member of Air Corsica said: "We enjoy a genuinely close relationship with Air France, and are one of its privileged partners. It seemed quite natural that its MRO arm, AFI KLM E&M, should provide support services for this aircraft, which it knows so intimately. But our choice was also motivated by the competitive nature of the offer, which is tailor-made for our requirements, and by AFI KLM E&M's reputation for quality and expertise."
Fabrice Defrance, AFI KLM E&M Senior Vice President Commercial said: "This contract is a fine opportunity for us. It strengthens the close ties forged between our Group and Air Corsica in recent years. We will again strive to demonstrate the adaptability and quality of our services."
