The AFI KLM E&M subsidiary specializing in APUs and pneumatic components is now also an APS 3200 repair shop approved by manufacturer Hamilton Sundstrand.
Paris, Amstelveen, 14 August 2012 - EPCOR can henceforth offer its expertise and MRO services to all carriers operating aircraft in the A320 family equipped with the APS 3200 auxiliary power units (APUs) manufactured by Hamilton Sundstrand. The offer includes APU repair, maintenance and testing services, along with the supply of spares.
Capabilities on all A320 APUs
After insourcing APS 3200 maintenance capabilities, EPCOR is now able to service both types of APU equipping A320 aircraft fleets, as for the past 18 months the AFI KLM E&M subsidiary has also been providing services around Honeywell-manufactured APU 131-9A systems. For operators with a mix of APS3200 and 131-9A the full service offer will be very interesting. EPCOR will, if necessary, support the operation of Air France whose fleet includes over 140 aircraft in the A320 family, while also providing services for these aircraft for all other operators.
EPCOR Managing Director Romain Helmer said: "We are delighted to offer this new product to our existing and prospective clients. We have worked very closely with Hamilton Sundstrand, for the second time in a very short period following the industrialization of APS 2300 processes, and are very proud today to have earned approved repair shop status. We will strive hard to put all our experience and know-how to good use so that we can deliver reliable, speedy and top-quality services."
