21/06/2013 - Syphax Airlines Becomes A330 Components Support Customer

AFI KLM E&M helping to maintain Tunisian airline's first A330.

Paris, Amstelveen, 21 June 2013 - Recently-formed Tunisian carrier Syphax Airlines has decided to entrust component maintenance for its first A330 to AFI KLM E&M. The two groups have already been working together at Roissy-CDG as part of a line maintenance agreement. The component support services delivered by AFI KLM E&M include repairs, dedicated access to the spares pool, and the supply of a Main Base Kit on Syphax premises. Syphax will also benefit from line maintenance services in Tunisia, ground services at airports in Continental France, and dedicated engineering support for its A330, thanks to Air France Consulting expertise and its partner AMC (Aircraft Management & Consulting).

A leader in A330 component support
With its global network and international logistics centers, AFI KLM E&M is a market leader for A330/A340 maintenance. To date, the Group provides support for over 200 aircraft for nearly two dozen airlines.

About Syphax Airlines and Telnet
Launched in 2011 by Mohamed Frikha, Chairman and CEO of the Telnet group, Syphax Airlines is a private-sector Tunisian airline headquartered at Sfax. It began operations with two A319s named Karama (Dignity) and El Horria (Liberty), before recently expanding with the addition of an A330. Syphax Airlines has ordered 10 additional A320s, six of them firm orders, and three for the A320 NEO.
