At MRO Americas, Barfield is showcasing its flagship products along with those of its partners.
This year, and for the fifth time, Barfield is sponsoring a maintenance competition at the MRO Americas trade show in Atlanta, from 9-11 April. The 85 teams competing, ranging from airlines to MROs, OEMs, the military, and universities, will be using items of test equipment placed at their disposal. For participants, this is an opportunity to handle the SiteHawk, developed by Bird technologies, as well as a Barfield best-seller, the Air Data Tester. This is a product, which, like so many others in Barfield's GSTE catalogue, is recommended in OEM manuals.
All aircraft types, all customer types
From market leaders Boeing and Airbus, Embraer, Textron and Bell, to private and business jets and rotorcraft, Barfield has dominated the GSTE market for over four decades. Victor Bontorno, Barfield Director GSTE Distribution, says: "Our products are designed and manufactured in Miami, from where 100% of our production is shipped. They have conquered the whole world and are distributed throughout a vast network of approved re-sellers. While most of our customers come from general and commercial aviation, even the manufacturers themselves use our test equipment."
Barfield has convinced some of the world's biggest airlines, in the US and elsewhere.
A catalogue always at the cutting edge
Air Data Test and Turbine Test sets are the most popular of Barfield's GSTEs. The DPS1000 Digital Pitot Static Test set illustrates the expertise and commitment invested in each product: "The DPS1000 was released five years ago and we are constantly improving it. The related application offers regular updates with new functions. We also collect customer feedback and requests to integrate their best recommendations." To ensure it offers a constantly updated range of latest-generation products, Barfield is always ready to expand its catalogue by offering solutions from innovative partners such as Bird Technologies, Fluke, and Universal Synaptics.
Dedicated support driving success
Barfield is seen as a GSTE market leader largely thanks to its sense of service. All products are guaranteed. Once a year, they are shipped back to Miami or to an approved workshop for calibration. Customers also benefit from 24/7 technical assistance. "There's no secret as to how we guarantee the future of our GSTE range: we are continually attentive to the needs of our customers, work closely with OEMs to stay abreast of changes to their aircraft, and strengthen our relations with high value-added partners. This is the path we aim to follow in pursuing the development of our GSTE portfolio, with the always enthusiastic support of our parent AFI KLM E&M."
With Barfield at their side on the ground, aviation professionals can concentrate on their business in complete confidence.
