Sustainable Quality Management

AFI KLM E&M has included Sustainable Development principles into its Quality Management Systems.
As a consequence, the ISO 14001 environmental standard has become a reference for all of our activities.
In France, we have obtained global and unique certification for all our operations.
Certification includes ISO 14001 and seven other international standards: ISO 9001 for quality management, EN 9100 for aviation design, EN 9110 for aircraft maintenance, EN 9120 for distribution and storage, ISO 22000 for food safety, OHSAS 18001 for health and safety at work, and ISO 15489 for information and documentation.
In the Netherlands, we also received the ISO 14001 certification.

Sustainability is built into in our operations and is a key driver in all the decisions we make.

For instance:

> We seek opportunities to improve environmental performance through in-depth analysis of sites and processes;
> We reinforce preventive measures and risk management;
> We involve personnel in implementing environmentally-friendly actions, encouraging initiatives and supporting innovations designed to improve processes;
> We ask service providers and suppliers to implement actions to improve environmental performance;
> We optimize the use of natural resources.

Measurable improvements

To track the results of our ambitious environmental policy, we monitor several indicators in the field of "green maintenance". These concern issues such as energy and water consumption, volatile organic compounds emissions, industrial waste, the use of toxic substances, etc.
We have decided to combine all of these elements into a single indicator. We are completely transparent and communicate this figure each year.
