A320 Family

With a fleet of 148 Airbus A320 aircraft and 560 flights daily, Air France and KLM are the foremost operators of this type of aircraft in Europe.
AFI KLM E&M supports close to 300 aircraft of this type for large flag-carriers as well as for low cost airlines. We maintain and repair some 2,500 part numbers for the A320 family.

Because Air France is an all-time operator of all types of Airbus aircraft, AFI KLM E&M has built a long term relationship with Airbus since 1972, when the very first Airbus aircraft model was launched. Air France has been launching company for A300, A310 and A320 models.
Since Air France was the launch operator for the twin-engined A320 in 1987, we have gained a wealth of experience on this aircraft family which was the first to introduce new design concepts like fly-by-wire, built-in test equipment (BITE) and centralized fault display systems (CFDS).

All Component Solutions

AFI KLM E&M provides full engineering and maintenance services for A320 family aircraft at three locations. Heavy maintenance is carried out in Toulouse, in-line maintenance at Roissy-CDG and Orly, and light maintenance at CDG, Orly and Toulouse. In 2008, our technicians carried out no fewer than 72 L checks, 10D checks and 6 cabin modifications on A320 family aircraft.
We also maintain privileged relations with Airbus and related OEMs and have joined the select band of Airbus MROs that comprises no more than 15 members.

All Airframe Solutions

Our Group has been the launch airline for CFM56-5 engines, as Air France was the very first company to operate A320 aircraft in 1988. Since then, the group's fleet has kept growing, first operating first CFM56-5A engines, then CFM56-5C engines in 1993, when the A340 entered into service, and finally CFM56-5B in 1994 when CFM enhanced the A320 engine.
Being the very first CFM56-5 shop, AFI KLM E&M has gained a deep experience as airline-MRO, that it shares today with numerous customers: AFI KLM E&M supports today the largest CFM56-5 fleet in the world, with around 400 engines operated by a broad range of airlines.
