AFI KLM E&M American Subsidiary Barfield, names Didier Astic as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Transformation.

Paris, Amstelveen, Miami, 20 of July 2023

Barfield Inc., a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) in the Americas, has appointed Didier Astic as its senior vice president (SVP) Business Development and Transformation. Didier has been a dedicated member of the Barfield Team for more than 15 years.

Didier will lead the Business Development, IT, and Digital Teams and will report directly to Gilles Mercier, CEO. Didier started his career in 1997 in Paris as product manager for Sextant Avionics. He then moved to Miami and served as logistics and repair director for Thomson Avionics, before becoming director of operations for Thales Avionics Edison three years later, in New Jersey. After two years, he joined Barfield as director of finance and information system and has held several other positions in the company for the past 15 years, including VP of purchasing and SVP asset management. Didier holds a master’s degree in electronics specialized in manufacturing, from ISEP - University of Electronics Paris.
