Barfield Appoints Jhonattan Polo as New Vice President of Customer Care

arfield Inc., a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) in the Americas, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jhonattan Polo as new Vice President of Customer Care. In this role, Polo will lead and manage the team responsible for providing direct support to Barfield’s customers and oversee the Pricing and Reliability activities, all part of the overall customer experience. Polo brings 14 years of customer support experience in different roles throughout the Barfield organization, including most recently as Director of Pricing where he was responsible for driving the pricing strategy, increasing RFP win rates, and managing the shop Work Order (WO) quotes.

Polo will report directly to Gilles Mercier, CEO. Polo began his career as a Mechanical Engineer in 2008 at Aero Maintenance Technologies (AMG), before quickly becoming Reliability Engineer in charge of developing Reliability Programs and RCA for warranties and providing technical support to customers. In 2010, he became Manager of Materials and Planning for AMG before moving to the Production Manager position role two years later. As AMG merged with Barfield under Air France KLM E&M, Polo took over Customer Support as Director for five years, before stepping into the Director of Pricing function in 2020. Polo graduated from la Universidad del Norte, Colombia, with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and earned a master’s in engineering management from Florida International University.
