PBH vs PBE: two options, one goal

Which of these two contractual frameworks is preferable?

At AFI KLM E&M, we believe that neither is better than the other - PBH and PBE have different added values.

PBH brings predictability and transfers a portion of the risk and administrative handling to the MRO supplier; while PBE offers more direct control over operations but requires the operator to determine its pool size and technical standard and manage their component from end to end.

It’s up to you to decide which formula best suits your needs: our experts are there to support and advise you in making the right choice, including by designing tailor-made solutions combining the two approaches – i.e.: a customer with a PBH contract may benefit from excluding certain components, instead using a PBE solution in the event of a defect in order to reduce their overall costs. The best of both worlds!

In addition, AFI KLM E&M is able to design, deploy and manage dedicated advanced inventories as close as possible to your bases in order to reduce your TATs, optimize your logistics costs and prepare for any critical operational events such as “no-go” components. Additionally, for maximum responsiveness in AOG situations, our customers can rely on our synergies with the exceptional AIR FRANCE KLM Martinair Cargo network, covering 295 destinations served in 110 countries.
