Martijn de Vries

Martijn de Vries has 25 years of professional experience within KLM Royal Dutch Airlines across finance, commercial, and engineering & maintenance activities. After earning a master’s degree (MA) in Business Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, he began his career at KLM as a Finance trainee and went on to hold several finance roles within the Corporate, Cargo, and Engineering & Maintenance divisions, further completing a MSc in Finance & Control.
He later transitioned to commercial and operational leadership within Engineering & Maintenance, where he spent 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of EPCOR B.V., a wholly owned MRO subsidiary of AFI KLM E&M, and since September 2021, as Vice President of KLM Engine Services.
Martijn de Vries has been appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) Commercial as of April 1st, 2026.
